Improved the market share of a regionally renown performing arts center to a national competitor with national attention for state of the art best practices for Section 508 ADA Compliance in the entertainment industry.
CT’s leading performance arts center needed to compliment traditional box office sales with an online ticketing system. I directed the entire project: discovery, design and build. A complete Content Management System and theater event application was developed and hooked to tickets.com. Website visits raised from 2K to over 50K per month. Online ticket sales moved from 15% to 80% of sales. All publishing and event posting is performed by in-house marketing staff. No need for any IT/Developer involvement for site maintenance.
bushnell.org needed an outreach communications system to inform patronts of upcoming events. An Email Marketing System with branded templates was developed. List management services were used to clean and import existing client info. Opt-in email subscriptions rose from 4K to over 30K. Currently sending over 100K emails per month. Email is the primary marketing tool used and is completely published by in-house marketing staff.
As a not for profit organization bushnell.org needed to satisfy Section 508 ADA Compliance for its patrons and to be supportive and a proponant of inclusion. A complete site audit was performed. Using compiled research a compliance modification plan was established. Content Management System modifications and best practices training documentation satisfied the compliance community enough to recognize bushnell.org as the MOST ADA compliant performing arts website in the industry 2009.
